Reception Volunteers educate potential customers about LCHS and our current adoptable animals, in-person and over the phone.

Position Function and Organizational Impact:

Receptionist volunteers are typically the first to interact with customers so it is important to leave a good first impression by handling situations with positivity and thoughtfulness.

Time Commitment and Location of Work:

3 hours per shift on site

Goals:

You will be tasked with answering phone calls, redirecting them as needed, answering questions, and assisting walk-in adopters. Receptionists are expected to connect adopters with LCHS staff who can answer their questions or service them somehow.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Great customer service skills
  • Orientation required
  • Understand guidelines in receptionist handbook
