General Facility Maintenance

Role Description

General maintenance volunteers are expected to assist with the daily upkeep of LCHS and tackle any tasks required to maintain a clean and hospitable environment.

Position Function and Organizational Impact:

These volunteers will be asked to sort and stock donations, clean and organize pet carriers, clean lobby office, sweep and mop floors, tidy up bathrooms, and other miscellaneous upkeep tasks.

Time Commitment and Location of Work:

2 -3 hours, on-site

Goals:

To maintain a clean and healthy work environment for potential adopters to feel welcomed and ready to adopt.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Able to lift 40+ lbs.
  • Previous cleaning and organizing experience recommended
  • Generally tidy person
  • Orientation required but not necessary to commit
